Dear sweet Issy, we'll just miss you so much; we have no idea why you passed, it's not even been a week, it feels like forever. You were only 19 mo old. We brought you back from alot of pain when you were little, only 2 mo old, and you were so sick. Poor Issy, you only had a few inches of tail, you'd had the rest eaten off by another baby (they weren't very well fed ) We bought you right then and there and brought you home. You started to do well within a week and we made sure you went to the vet when you were sick. But we couldn't get to the vet in time when you got sick this time. You seemed fine the morning and afternoon of the day you got sick, you were fine at supper, by evening you couldn't breathe & you were gone the next morning. I'm just glad I was hugging you at the time.
I wanted to post a pics of Issy's short life, she was a very special beardie and she had fun every day once she was improving:
She was tiny when we found her at the bottom of a tank in a pet shop. We figure she was about 2 mo old, maybe a bit older. She hardly fit on my index finger and I'm a small woman with small hands:
First bath:
A couple of weeks later:
Looking out for enemies:
Waving at her reflection:
Deciding she liked her reflection and settlling down to watch it.
A little blankie to rest on:
A few weeks after, she's not as dark and has more energy:
Boy she sure grew:
In the same dish as her 1st bath:
Waving at Rubio, about 5 mo old:
She used to shred the newspaper in her sleeping chamber:
Strange position to sleep in:
Staring out from inside her chamber, on her blankie:
Bigger yet:
Issy was never our biggest dragon, she was 7 1/2" from snout to vent, her tail was at max 4" long:
Wearing an Easter bell for Z&W's 2nd birthday card:
"Wanna ridz in my carz?"
Helping Mommy with the dishes (jumping out of her bath in the kitchen sink):
Issy loved to climb, especially Roger's big hassock and chair in the living room:
Made it to the arm of Dad's chair
She also loved to run around the living room and hide from time to time:
She once figured out how to stand tall and look over the divider into Angel's tank:
"Peek-a-boo, I can see you!"
Sweetie and Issy, the one time we ever got them close together, Dec/09
Issy, all grown up:
"This is really comfy Mommy, honest"
"This is comfy, too, Mommy, honest"
"Well, all right, it's not that comfy, I'll get off"
Catching rays on tne armrest on Roger's big chair, she loved the sun, could sit in it for hours, can't blame her!
"All mine"
Watching Gian Carlo, our Beta fish:
Using her tail to keep her upright in her bath (kitchen sink)
From the other side:
She didn't have quite enough energy to get herself out of the tub.
I know you're over the Rainbow Bridge with Angel and Dino, Jasper and Miss Campbell Jane, Puff and Spike and all the other beardies who have passed over.
RIP Issy, we'll always remember you
Mom, Dad, Sweetie, Lonzo, Rubio and Leo
