Hi Bob ! The training on taming him pretty much hasn't even started, he's still not used to his surroundings. I'm holding him daily at least 15 min , and petting him constantly. He hasn't tried to bite or hiss at me lately, just that when I come close, he curls up relaly tight .. and when I do hold him, he'd try to get away by scratching the crap out of me. One Good thing though, he's eating and pooping and drinking !! Woo hoo ! lol. I just want him to hurry up and get used to his new home and mommy so I can start with the handling more, etc
Have you tried taking a fine grit nail file to maybe take the burr off of his nails? I don't know the size of their nails relative to our beardies. I would assume they are a little bit bigger.

I havent tried clipping his nails, he's still wayyyy to skittish when I hold him. His nails are long and they have a stronger grip then beardies. LIke for example, you know how sometimes you hold your beardies and they try to get away and starts scratching your hand ? you'll end up with light scratches? well, with the monitor, the scratches are like scratches from bread knifes that draws blood. lol. He's still not eating much.. well not eating when someone's in the room, but right now he's eating a pinky a day. Pretty expensive, I tell ya! He wont eat any superworms ... hopefully soon he will

Sounds like you need to get a couple hamsters or a couple mice, and start letting them do their "thing". I used to have a breeding pair of hamsters and I had more lil fuzzballs running around in a couple months than I knew what to do with.
