Hey all
So today I welcomed home a new family member
Anyways he's in full body shed and he's only eaten 1 bug
He's 10 G I've never picked up a beardie this small before.

Is it normal for the babies to not eat when shedding?
I know it's normal for the adults.

And for the lighting, I'm using a reptisun 10.0 t8
and a crystal clear halogen bulb for basking.

Does this setup sound right?
Because with my girl, I use an MVB

Thanks!

Setup sounds good. Are the temps within normal range from Hot to cool side?
It is normal for them to eat little to none when in shed. It is very uncomfortable for them, it can also cause stress marks and irritation.
A way to help is to give the little one a bath you can also use a soft bristle toothbrush while bathing gently rub the areas of shed. Never pull off any of the shed it would be harmful to your dragon.
It is ok to hold a beardie that small, give him a bath even once daily wouldn't hurt anything. It does seem to ease the process quite alot

Ok so setup sounds good?
I thought so just wanted to make sure.

Yes basking temps are in normal range.

I actually have a water bowl in there for him.He can fit his whole body
I am also going to be misting 2X daily

Thanks

It's a 20 gallon long.
I'm getting a bigger tank when he gets bigger.

Everything seems fine, Just give him a little time to go through the shedding process, give baths to help ease him. You are doing great

Just wanted to add that stress marks are actually a myth, and do not always mean stress. Also, if your beardie doesn't like baths, they aren't necessary. :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
