My large bearded dragon has a small, white patch on his head. I would usually chalk it up to shedding/leftover shed, but it doesn't seem like his regular shed. It's almost slightly raised, and smooth/soft compared to the rest of the skin on his head- almost like a scab. It's been stuck on his head for a little over a week now with no signs of budging. Normally I wouldn't post something like this in the ER, but on top of this I have ample reason to suspect that despite our best efforts to quarantine, he's picked up parasites from our new little pet shop girl, and while I was going to take them in for a vet visit anyways because of this, perhaps I'll need to scrape up the money even sooner if this 'scab' is a sign of an underlying bigger issue. In a previous thread I had his viv checked out so I know that it isn't the problem. He has had a change of appetite recently, probably due to the parasites, and barely touches his greens (though he still guzzles down the crix and squash.) We give him baths and mist his food daily but his skin has become somewhat looser than before (I don't know if this is because of dehydration, losing weight to parasites, or both.)
