Weird neck quick puffs?

Hey all!

My Frankie does this every day, it's like a cough or burp. That's the best way I could put it. When she does it, I can hear these pop sounds, it almost sounds like her nose plugs inflate and deflate as she does it? When she does it, she will do it about 3-5 times quickly.

I took her to the vet to see if it is a RI, but the vet did a blood test and says she is fine and shows no signs of infection.. She tells me it could just be behavioral.

I'll post a link at the bottom. I'm sorry, as I was only able to catch a part of what she does. It's right at the beginning of the clip. But usually when she does this(she will do this minimum 10 times a day) she does that motion about 3-5 times before she stops.

That does look like a burp. My guy does that sometimes too, especially after eating. I'm glad your vet ran a blood test rather than administering antibiotics right off the bat. If tested levels in the blood were in normal range she is probably fine.

Yeah it sounds like it’s just a burp to me. If you see him get “inflated” or see more saliva in the mouth than usual then it could be a URI

Thank you so much for the replies, I guess I was jus being cautious, is it normal for them to burp even after 2-3 hours of eating?

I think it just depends on how they are digesting. Really more of an individual thing. Since the tests checked out OK that's probably just how she is.
