Hello everyone,

Is this significant enough to be worried or is it trending stable and he should be fine?
He is very active, and runs around the cage and my room a lot. Please let me know what you all think.

Setup:
50 gallon
Reptisun T5 5.0 UVB strip, mounted 8 inches away from basking spot
105-110°F Basking spot
Humidity 30-40%

Other info.
He is 16 in long with a tail nip
About 8 months old
Eats superworms, dubias, waxworms, and mealworms
Has slowed down eating for the past few months (see my previous 2 posts for more info)

Beardie name(s)
Hiccup he is 6 and Blaze is 4
It doesnt look like a significant amount of weight lost -- I would how ever move the UVB
Reptisun T5 5.0 UVB strip, mounted 8 inches away from basking spot this is too close for inside the tank --- distance should be 12-15 for that bulb inside the tank

Hi there, I responded to your Pm :)

That is perfectly acceptable weight fluctuations, and it is actually trending up, not down. So I wouldn't worry about it :)

And no, you want to keep your UVB bulb the distance it is right now at 8 inches.
12 inches is only for the T5 10.0 bulb.

Those slight differences could be the result of a decent meal, or a decent poop (take your pick).

Monitoring weight weekly is probably good enough while he's growing, and monthly once his adult weight levels out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
