Weight loss while gravid - Update, we got a few eggs!

Well that's encouraging that she is laying now ....not so encouraging that its so hard on her ....poor girl :/

She's doing much better - we're up to 16 eggs. They started getting easier for her the more she laid. In fact already did the whole bury-head bang in the sand thing, so when she was done I picked her up to give her a nice bath and an egg fell out of her :shock: so I put her back. She hasn't dug a fresh hole, but has done some small digging and laid 3 more eggs. So I guess I'll just leave her for a bit longer. But she seems to be fine - no broken eggs so far either!

After about the 10th egg they started to be easier for her to get out. We ended at 20 eggs. I gave her a good long soak and she drank a decent amount of water. She got her appetite back immediately so I gave her a few pieces of strawberry for a treat. Didn't want to feed her too much since it was so late.
I picked up some horn worms today during lunch, so she got a couple big ones of those and a handful of dubia all dusted with calcium - she gobbled everything up.

I noticed her left hind leg is swollen though, definitely wasn't like that last night, I'm guessing she probably strained it with all the digging she did? Besides that she's just fine, her usual perky self! Thanks for everyone's advice!

Glad to hear she got all the eggs laid. Keep an eye on her leg...serrapeptase would be good for that.
