Weight and size?

I just got a 3 year old beardie named Zeus. He's a perfect little angel, sweet and loving, but I am a little concerned about his length and weight. He is my first BD, and I've only had him three days, but I'm already so attached to him and vice versa! After reading a lot on here, I've noticed he's not as big as others his age. He's about 294 grams (I believe that's what his previous owner said) and 17 1/2 inches from nose to tip of tail. He is recovering from worms, but would that effect his length? I just want to make sure he's healthy because I love him so much. I'd really appreciate any comments/advice!

Size ranges are different from beardie to beardie. A full grown dragon should be 18-24 inches. You said yours is 17.5, which is probably fine. My beardie Duke is a bit on the smaller side too, like yours, and hits just at 18 inches (almost 3 years old). The weight is ok too considering he just got over worms (Duke was the same when he was battling pinworms). Once he's fully recovered, he will start to gain more weight but the length won't be effected by worms.
