weighing beardies

Alrighty. I have been keeping track of General Tso and Mushu's Lengths by week and comparing to the growth chart I've seen on this site for a while now. So far, They're both just about right on track. General Tso is probably a teency bit ahead of schedule. I need to know about scales. Is there a gram scale that is affordable, and where might I get one? I remember looking around for a gram scale when I was starting into planted tanks so I could measure out my dry fertilizers, but I never found one that was accurate for under $50. Anyone know of one?

i got one at wal mart for around 20bucks. it weighs up to 5000 grams it will weigh any beardie and it seems to be accurate.
look inthe kitchen section by like the pots and pans and stuff cause its supposed to be a kitchen scale

will do. I guess I should have looked first. I remember it being so diffucult to find simply because I had to have one that could measure down to .5 grams, and kitchen scales usually only accurately measure by the 5 gram increments. I can only hope I never have to weigh a one gram beardie. :shock:

The one we have is a regular food scale and it measures 1 gram increments as well as pounds, ounces, etc.. We got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond our Budget. It cost a little more than $20, but we can use it for more than beardies (although we haven't yet) :mrgreen:

It's pretty accurate... we had Dude weighed at the vet last night and it was exactly the same as the weight we took at home earlier.

Well this might sound weird, but you can go to a headshop and get a scale that can weigh as low as .1 grams!

yeah my old buddy has one like that but I'm not putting my beardies on it lol. They'd probably get high or something.

I've actually thought seriously of getting one of those digitial scales. Not only can I weigh out the boys, but can get good weights on the geckos, and weigh out my reserve seeds from current crops for next year

Well the one I got from a headshop cost like 35 but it was well worth it!

price will depend on the headshop....but you can always talk down a headshop if your paying in cash
