so this upcomming summer will be caeasar's first real summer. its already starting to get warm around here and in the summer it will stay at 90 throughout the night somenights. is this ok? when it gets hot ill only have his UVB on and not his heat lamps obviously but how will he be able to retreat from the natural weather? his whole vivs going to be hot. what do you guys do when it just gets to hot outside.

You will still need to provide a basking site to your dragon.

If you have to lower the wattage to achieve the same temperatures, then thats what needs to be done.

It is a tough situation though if the whole tank is going to be 90, since that doesn't really give your dragon any place to cool down. You will be wanting to give daily baths.

Ive seen energy saving bulbs that have LEDs in place of the usual filament. Surely these would be bright enough but cool enough to provide a basking spot?

yea i was looking at those at my local lighting store. probly gunna pick one up when it starts to get a little to hot out.

You could hoom up some pc fans to cool it although im not sure how much of an effect this would be... since beardies dont appear to sweat.

yea i was going to purchase some small batt powerd desk fans, i figured it would at least help get some circulation in there. help cool down the viv.
