Ways of sleeping

Hello All! I know this is probably a stupid question but even thought Bearded Dragons are reptiles, they are still pets. When I question items to my friends or coworkers all I hear is "its just a reptile". or "Its a lizard" Hate hearing that!
Gonzo was getting too big for his Bonzai tree and a little piece broke off it which he loved to lay in during the day and sleep in at night. We got him/her a log/tree to climb/lay on to replace it. He appears to like the very top of it although he struggles a little getting back down. He chose to sleep there tonight on the highest branch which does not look comfortable at all. lol . I guess my question is are Beardies pretty steady when they sleep or do I have to worry he may lose his balance and fall out that high off the ground. I know this is a stupid questions but still something I am curious about. I attached a picture of what I am speaking of. This was taken today but he is sleeping in the same spot. Thanks!

He has gotten too big for that tree! So sweet he is.
I don't think that he would hurt himself if he fell from that height, but it would likely wake him up.
You could place some soft pillows or blankies underneath of him in the case he does fall. Or you could make him up a nice soft bed with a soft fleece blankie also. They do tend to enjoy their creature comforts.
I agree, they are more than a lizard, they are a family member. It is annoying when people say it's just a lizard, I want to scream!
