Okay so I bought 50 waxworms and I want them to get a little bigger because the local shop around here is the only shop in a 25 mile radius and it only sales "med" I think small, but whatever waxworms or mealworms and since my baby is too young to snack on meal worms in my opinion I bought the waxworms....and man you guys were not kidding about the reaction these worms get from the beardies... Crack much? lol Anyway I didn't have any honey and the store isn't close enough to be worth the trip to get just honey so I just put the wax worms in a few packets of Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal... and I am pretty sure they are eating it... they are definitely acting different than the... wood shaving stuff they came in? Not sure what it was but its trash now. Also 2-3 of the tiny ones that were turning blackish have regained their cream color and they all seem fine, but I still wanted to ask any knowledgeable wax worm people if this was okay? I mean too late now for this batch I guess... Future reference though? I am about to (potentially) start an indoor black soldier fly breeding/habitat... so will be using them mostly as the staple with my dubia colony. Always of course adding in other various feeders as I have the funds
In what they came in???? Wood shavings I guess.
