Wax Worms

About how long should they be to start going to wax worms from crickets
and do they have more or less protein as crickets.thanks.

Wax worms are a bit fatty. More like a dessert than a meal.
They are softer bodied so you can feed one a bit bigger than you would a cricket. Just try to find small ones if you can. They can get pretty fat.

i kind of want him to be bigger on that side lol
ill try to find small ones and give them to him like once a week or somthing.

By the picture it looks like he is big enough for the waxworms. You said he is 8"? Is that from head to tip of tail? So hard to tell in pics for me.
My Calypso is a bit over 4 months and can handle the waxworms.

Yes hes about 8" from head to tip of the tail i might try some next week but till
then ill continue with the crickets even though he doesint eat them much.

Give him some time. He will pick up on his eating. Then you will be running out and buying bugs constantly.

and big lol but im broke atm haha

My young dragon eats about 60 bugs a day now. Of course the phoenix worms are small. She eats less bugs when I feed the butterworms. It seems one butterworm is equal to five phoenix worms for her.
