Waving at his food?

My little Malygos is about 2-2.5 months old now and I've seen him do something weird in the past month I've had him. He'll stalk up to his crickets then lift his right arm and start waving. This is the 2nd-3rd time I've seen him do this at his food. Is he being goofy and trying to tell the cricket he isn't a threat (before going back on his word and eating it :lol: ) or is he waving to me while I watch him eat? He does the goofiest things so I wouldn't put the first past him. I got his dubias I ordered in yesterday and thought they were pretty horrifying/gross. I put some tiny ones in his cage today and he not only agreed but ran away from them. At least he's figured out that they're tasty food now. :roll:
