Hello everyone, i have a question... my beardie has had Watery Poop for a while now every day at least one of his poops are very watery, not like diarrhea, but there is nice solid brownish greenish fecal matter with the white urate, and then clear liquid almost like pure water with it... sometimes it smells more than others, but not anything that is too extreme...

i wanted to know that i was giving him the correct diet... here is his daily diet...

Everyday I offer him the Following:
-Collard Greens
-Mustard Greens
-Calabaza Squash
-all these mixed into one nice sized salad
-light sprinkle of Calcium powder on top

6 times a week I offer him the Following:
-35-45 Calcium Dusted Crickets

1 time a week i offer him the Following:
-35-45 Multi-Vitamin Dusted Crickets

now my question is, Calabaza Squash... i know they eat Squash but i heard that this specific type of squash is super high in water content... could this be the cause of Watery Poop?... do you guys think he is consuming too much water?... he also drinks a lot of water when i bather him 2 times a week, i drip the water on his face and he sops it up...

he is in great health, he runs around, he is super strong, super active, eats like a beast. and poops like even more of a beast... i am just worried i am maybe over hydrating him or something...

today i removed the Calabaza Squash from the salad to see the results over the next few days...

:(

Someone much more experienced than myself will likely be along with a good answer for you soon. I can tell you that my babies both have very different poop depending on what they are eating. I've been watching like a hawk and found the definite patterns. Bok Choy causes both to have extremely well formed, but watery poop (just like you described). Sweet potato causes both to have poorly formed, yet drier poop. Both of those veggies have become treats because of this. My general rule of thumb is to never introduce more than one new item in a week and watch closely for changes. When I see something disconcerting about the poop, I take away the new item and it tells me whether the food is causing the problem or not.

Good luck and hopefully someone else will come along with a more specific answer for you.

thank you for that response, after eliminating the squash yesterday i already saw some results, his poop consisted of much less water... so i guess it might be the squash, we will see how his bowel movements look like this afternoon...

well guys, i have some great news!! today, after only the second day of removing the Calabaza Squash from his diet, he started to poop normal formed and no watery liquid was included...

so i guess it was that articular squash... :) for anyone who has this issue in the future you should check with your veggies, it might be the cause...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
