water source for dubia

is it fine just to use oranges or carrots as the water source? Or should there be a constant supply of water crystals that are now gels? My humidity is about 70 right now because i am using the water gel and the oranges and sometimes carrots. What are your humiditys at?

personally, i always have water crystals in my roach bin regardless of whatever else may be in there, but i've heard of plenty of people who don't use them at all.

i generally dont use them... i used to but i get to lazy to clean out 16 bins on a weekly basis so i resort to the use of carrots and fruits on a weekly basis.

I made a bunch of auto-waterers. I don't need to touch them for a few weeks.

A large lid of water crystals also helps raise the humidity in the tubs to help the roaches molt.

I agree water crystals are great, they need a certain level of humidity to shed and grow and so on
I tend not to put to many fruits in , they tend to go mouldy very quickly..

is 70% humidity to much? I've looked through everything and no mold growing anywheres and all the roaches are shedding a lot.
