Water in lungs?!

So i was giving zed a bath and he kinda freaked for a quick second and diped completely under the water. Ive heard about them getting water in their lungs. But also have seen vids of them swiming under water. Should i be concerned? Anything i can look for?

I'm always afraid of them getting water in their ears. I've read some upsetting stories on here about water getting in the ear holes and causing some terrible issues (balance problems, dizzyness, stumbling, etc) one resulted in the beardie passing away. So I'm always careful to make sure the water level is not high enough to get in there. Not sure what one is to do if the beardie goes under by themselves. Maybe I'm just a worrywart.

Bearded dragon's ears are sealed by a thin membrane (which is visible) - they can safetly go underwater, but I make sure that the water is shallow enough that they don't. I've never seen any of these stories about them dying from water in their ears? Have a link?

Maybe "ears" was the wrong term to use. It was from too much water getting into these openings and causing some neurological issue. The sad story was on here about 4+ years ago. I've looked for it and cannot find it. We all read & watched the posts, waited and prayed for several days while the poor thing made a steady decline. Vet / necropsy I believe confirmed the diagnosis of some neurological damage allegedly from all the water. Whether that was the cause or not, it made an impression on me and I'm cautious now about getting any water in those holes. Maybe one the "experts" (moderators) can confirm? Any of you remember this?

But...all that depressing stuff aside. Bad stuff from a bath is rare. Bathtime can be a fun, exciting time for all to have. My Izzy (6 years old now) loves his baths!! And we definately get the "evil eye" when we don't have time to give him his morning dip.

Ahh, too bad. I wasn't accusing you of making it up, just wanted to read the details
