Water from Syringe?

So I was just wondering how you go about offering water from a syringe? Zero seems hydrated enough because I bathe him daily, but I was just curious how offering water from a syringe works. Do you just drop it on the nose? Do you try to get the syringe in his mouth?

Normally you would just start dripping it onto his nose and he will lap it up.

When I give Max water orally (twice a day at the moment - dehydrating easily these days), I actually stick it in the side of his mouth. If he's thirsty he'll start lapping it up. If not, he'll squirm away. I'm not sure I'd try it with a baby though - they're so fragile!
