wanting out of viv

My bearded dragon Alex is six months old (approx) this last couple of weeks she wants to come out of her viv if we are in the room, she window dances for ages until someone gets her out, then she is quite happy to sit with us for ages. But what we would like to know is how safe is it to keep her out of her viv for long periods, as we are in the UK & it's February with low temps outside, it is warm in the house with central heating, but she feels really cold when she is out for any length of time. Can anyone advise us about this. :? Thanks

I also live in the UK and have a similar dragon. She's out a fair bit...what I do is make a hot water bottle (with a cover) and she sits on that quite happily for long periods. They cant sense heat as well from underneath, so make sure its not too hot, but it does keep them warm in the colder climate.

I'll let Dudley out for an hour or so, and I know he wants to go back when he lays on top of my heat vent, or goes underneath my hermit crab tank and falls asleep under where the UTH is, LOL.

Ozzy usually sits around on my pillows or my legs and even on my laptop! And when he wants back in his viv, he simply walks towards it. My room is pretty cold especially with this Scottish weather, but he likes to stay out for a good hour or so and he's not had any problems

Thank you all for your replys & helpful ideas, I quite like the idea of a hot water bottle with a cover.I think I will try that as she likes to sit around & watch what were doi ng.
