wanting company for anarchy without breeding

ok i want to get another beardie for company for my lil anarchy but i really dont want to breed as im not sure how many pet shops will actually take them and the one that i do no of i really dont wouldnt give them to im wondering what my options are to house a male and female together without letting them breed ive talked to a breader recently about getting one of them neuterd im wondering if anyone has done this and if theirs any risks to the dragon. im also wondering if they only breed during certain times of the year of if they can breed at anytime of the year . im a firs ttime beardie owner and i dont think im ready to be a grampa yet lol any advice on what i can do is very much appreciated ty

Your dragon does not need company it only needs you.
Dragon's are not social beings they are loners they only come together to mate.

Dragons together can equal death of a dragon or very high vet bills
Don't do it.

not to metnion that it is much harder to neuter a dragon than say a igauna. It is much more invasive and way harder on the dragons system. It is risky and has a high liklyhood of your dragon not making it through the surgery due to anestesia(SP) and the surgery itself. I highly suggest just giving him like a stuffed animal or something. All of my dragons love beating up their lil beanie babies i gave them.

I didn't even know they neutered BDs. Seems like the cost would be greater than just getting another tank...

We have a male and female together and they love eachothers company - our breeder told us that the female will only come in season during the spring months so we seperate them for a few months but they realy hate to be apart - she will wave away at him and he will be bobbing his head at her from across the room - almost like they want to be back together.

We have not had any baby beardies in a year of them being together - next spring we would like to try to breed them one time - although we were told the mating process can look very violent so im not sure if i would like to see that!
