Wall Tiles

Heyo, first timer here, planning on getting my own dragon baby soon. Currently I have a Zen Habitat ready to decor for'em.

Seems no one ever talks about these, so I was curious what y'all think of the wall tiles you find in places like Lowes and Home Depot such as these and the like.

I imagine I would have to be careful for it not to be heavy, both for safety and the adhesive I would use, which I still have no idea. Something like Gorilla Glue? Non-toxic/solvent-free but I don't know how well it works in high heat. Apparently I should also avoid peel-and-stick tiles of any kind due to potential toxicity?

Then comes the matter if it needs to be sealed or not, though I guess that's toward what kind of material the tile is...

Suggestions?

I have--often. I used these. Others here have used other styles; check in the DIY forum.

Yes, they're heavy, as are the bricks. I attached them with regular tile adhesive. No grout--didn't need it for these. Can't say about the style you've chosen. :dontknow:

I painted the top of the back wall and the entire ceiling with flat sky-blue latex.

He climbs straight up the bricks, but doesn't climb the back wall. I have no idea why not--I was kinda hoping he might. :dontknow:

Whoops, never noticed the DIY section. Guess that place made more sense to look through. Thanks!

By regular tile adhesive, you mean something akin to AcrylPro?

And thanks for the info, Karrie. Funny enough, it was your posts about the Zen that assured me to get it.

That's exactly what I used. In retrospect, GE silicone sealant #1 might work just as well. Though it may take a few days longer to cure, it'll be lighter weight. Haven't actually tried it for this purpose, but others in the DIY form may have.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
