waking up from brumation

Hello, my girl has been asleep for nearly 5 months. She came out of her hide yesterday and sat below her basking spot looking very dark. I felt bad for her so i put her back in her little hide. Today she came out again, did some beard stretches and is still under her basking spot. (not directly under her basking spot, but right below her basking platform.) She doesn't want to eat anything and is just sitting there, very dark staring off into space. It's around 95 where she is sitting.

So my question is she waking up from brumation? Do they slowly wake up like this?

Yes, some do. It can take a little while, usually a few days or a week to get in to more normal behavior. When was the last time she had a drink ? Give her a short warm soak and if you can get her outside in the sun that can liven her up as well.

The warm soak will be a quick way to get her body temperature back up and her metabolism going more normally , and if she is thirsty she will drink some of the bath water.

5 months is a very long brumation …. keep an eye on her incase there is some health issue behind this long period of dormancy.

Ive been giving her water every few days by dripping on on the tip of her mouth. She's been drinking well. She has lost about 10 grams total during her time in brumation. I will deff give her a little bath today. I really hope nothing is wrong with her..

Also little update, she went back into her cave around 6 pm. This morning i woke up and she was out of her cave again.

Excellent that she barely lost any weight and has been well hydrated. Just give her time .

I will! She ate like 4 roaches today. And now she is basking a bit. But she is still very sluggish and dark. Also, took her for a walk (I held her while I walked) to get some sun. Hopefully she'll brighten up soon <3
