Waiting game

My female beardie just laid a clutch of 16 eggs. and currently me and my boyfriend are in a arguement about how often we check the eggs, and how long approximently they will be in the incubator for.

I think personally we should check them once-twice a week the first couple weeks, and in the last weeks every day to see if the eggs have collapsed or if we have baby beardies.
I've also read that they won't hatch till between day 50-70, and he thinks its day 30-45. So i was thinking if i could get some solid facts on these two questions/opinions i can get him to believe me.

I do not know why you would have to check them more than once a week if that. As long as you have water in the incubator for the humidity then you should have no reason to really check on them. They arent going to run away lol But what type of incubator do you have? Because most of the incubators have a window at the top of them so you do not have to open the lid to see how your eggs are doing.

Dragon eggs should be at 84-85 degrees and usually hatch between 50-90 days. At those temps I almost ALWAYS hatch at around 55-60 days. I have never had eggs go beyond 60 days but have heard of eggs lasting as long as 90+ days in the incubator. Also you want to make sure you have the proper thermometer to test your temps because if you are using a cheap one then the temps could be as much as 20 degrees off.

Good luck!

I am pretty sure that the higher the humidity the shorter it takes for the babies to come out. I had one clutch that was in almost 100% humidity and it hatched sooner then the ones that were in a lower humidity incubator. And with the opposite the lower the temps and humidity the longer it will take for them to hatch.

so far so good. 3 weeks in and we have no mold, and no 'bunk' eggs they all look healthy and veiny. Currently their humidity is sitting at about 90 and there temp. goes between 85.6 and 86.7 depending on the time of day. We also just recently built a new tank for my female, and set up two 33 gallon tanks, and working on a third for the babys, we have dividers in the tanks, and have a locally owned pet store, plus some private buyers for all the eggs. We also are going to try and bread crickets seeing that our pet store only gets them in once a week and the sizes aren't the ones that would be suitable for the little guys.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
