I have a one year old beardie who is healthy is every regard, except he must have had some calcium issues when he was a hatchling, so he doesn't walk normally. He can walk and climb, but it's awkward...he drags his limbs sometimes, stands in very awkward positions, etc. I took him to the vet and all his levels are normal, so I'm just going to make sure he has a habitat that accommodates him. I'm a speech therapist who works with special needs children, so I call Drago our special needs dragon:) I was wondering if there were any tips/pictures you would suggest to supply him with some safe climbs in his viv that wouldn't be easy for him to climb on or fall off. I'll try to upload a couple of pictures sometime soon of Drago and what we have set up for him so far.

I suggest providing a wide basking area that is easy to access either at level or via a low grade so he can get to it and away from it easily as he wishes. Same with a shade area or hide. I also suggest using a high power UVB source such as a T5 tube which will provide plenty of UVB at about 12-14'' from the bulb. I use this one and it will work well in most enclosures http://www.lightyourreptiles.com/22-t-5-ho-fixture-high-output-with-arcadia-d3-12-ho-bulb/

Low basking spots that don't require much climbing could work. Or, very shallow ramps to make it easy on him. Almost like a handicap ramp as opposed to stairs.

I'm assuming I need to make these things for his enclosure, since it's kind of a custom setup. Any helpful articles/advice on how to make them?

Maybe. You might also be able to find something that fits the bill. For a basking area a nice wide flat branch or piece of driftwood might work well. Even if he can just perch his front feet up on it. A couple of blocks of wood that run the width of the tank on the basking side might work too. A large habba hut would double as a nice hide area. There are a lot of routes to take. The DIY section might have some good ideas as well.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
