Cant wait to show everyone my new stacked vivs =] they are completely moveable any way i like and they stack =] each viv is 2 feet tall 4 feet long and 2 feet deep. for a total of a 6 foot tall structure. Its coming out really nice ill have pics of it up tomorrow. thought it hasnt been stained on the outside yet, we are going to use a dark stain. On the inside of each viv will be a different rock sculpture theme. you know the styrofoam grout project. Ive got tons of styrofoam saved up cant wait to start =]
The whole thing is on casters so its moveable too.

Ok peeps here are my new vivs =] 4 feet long 2 feet deep, 2 feet high. their pretty roomy and large. Only 2 are pictured, the 3rd one was unstacked so I could start staining it. When all the vivs are stained i will post pics =] but it might be a while. Inside each viv are chains in the cieling for mounting the UVB light bars. And then a fixture with 2 outlets for heat day light bulbs and ceramic heat emitters. All of these are wired out the back and connected to a timer. The whole 6ft tall structure sits on casters for easy mobility.
Each viv will be outfitted with a different theme =] I can wait to get started. My little baby wiggles will be the first to have a new viv which will be the more common rock sculpture type of viv, I might incorporate some super mario world themed structures ;]
Any ideas of themes would be great!!!

I think we may use the 3rd viv for a corn snake or 2 =]

Jessysihk,

Ok, so are you going to make them to order as well? :) Nice looking!

Actually I am working on plans for similar vivs that could be made to order and easily assembled.. They are just ideas right now but the market for those sized tanks is HUGE.

I don't know if I could use stackable vivs d/t using MVB and needing to have them pointing straight down and having to regulate the height too, for proper temps. :( I'm assuming you can only use the flourescent lighting, right?
I have 3 beardies so I want to stack.......boo hoo :(

Lol well we are only using regular UVB light tubes right now but eventually we will be using MVB's. You can make the stacks so that they sit on a frame that gives like a 2 inch space in between each one, that way you can mount the light fixture on top. You dont even really have to do that there are multiple ways to mount the lights on the cieling and to hide cords and whatnot. I was glad we had these done it frees up a ton of space =]

I'd love to see the pics of the lighting in or on top of the viv's when your done.

Sure ill post some later tonight or tomorrow morning. Ill show you how i have them mounted right now. If i ended up switching to MVB's i would just take the normal ceramic heat lamps you use for reptiles and staple the cord to the top of the wood =] easyily done with the staple gun and you dont have to go buy and wire your own light fixutres.

My new setup.

I used driftwood (baked) and dishclothes and suspended it from the screen ceiling using thread. She loves hopping up there to soak up the UVB. And it provides her with some nice stimulation..

I was very sad to see the end of this thread. I have sat here for hours looking at every picture. My boyfriend has threatened to block the site. *grins* He got tired of having to come and look at all the pictures as I found one that caught my eye. There are so many beautiful vivs here. I can't wait to get started spiffing up Smaug's! :blob5: :blob8:

All the viv's look great. All that is left on the one I decided to build is the glass doors and then just trim it out. Also I need the beardie to go in the viv. Hopefully weather is better to ship. So since I had to wait decided to build a new viv  . The crickets were delivered on Friday of last week(500) and now I thinking about starting roach colony. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
