about a week back i finally got enough money/supplies to set up a seperate tank for my male, Trouble. i got him as a rescue along with an adult female in a 40 gallon tank. they had no UV and their basking spot was in the center of their enclosure. since they were in a pet store they only got 8 hours of 50watt light . the decor was poopy sand and a boring log, thats it :| .
it goes without saying they are in much better conditions now. Mayze(the female) gets to live in her own mansion(5' x 1.5' x 2'tall), while Trouble(my little hell-raiser) gets the smaller tank that they originally came in(3' x 1.5' x 1.5'tall).
well enough explaining, heres his new tank:
the floor is mostly tile/slate with a patch of outdoor carpet in the middle. the "brick wall" was made out of left over coving pieces from a tile job; i stacked them staggered so they were stronger, they just happen to look nice too.
the cave itself is actually a 5 gallon fishtank flipped on its side. i stacked tile on either side so the slate slab on top wouldnt be resting entirely on the glass aquarium. i folded up a hand towell and put in on the floor of the cave so he would stay warm at night; i know glass/stone can get pretty cold when the temps drop.
here is a pic of their two vivs in my bedroom with all the appropriate lighting; it was a mess before i had dragons  ...
