Anybody has any opinions or useful tips? She hangs in the hammock all day sometimes on the branch and sleeps everywhere but the caves (unless I place her in front of the little one)
Hi this is Moses and his Firelink Shirne Viv.
Yes im a big darksouls fan so I had to add it to his viv, realy want praise the sun reference somewhere since these dragons are such sun loving worshipers
I like the big sticks you have set up in the corner. The only suggestion I can think of at the moment is to try providing more shade areas using arrangement of furniture or fake plants etc. Just a place to get out of the "sun" if desired.
Bowser has an inside and outside enclosure. He is much more active in his outside enclosure. Inside enclosure is huge at 70L x 22w 28h. has 2 10.0 reptisun uvb bulbs, and 2 basking spot bulbs 50watt and 75 watt. high temp is 103, low is 79. Collard greens, mustard greens, squash, are his main veg staples. Gets calcium without D3, and Multivitamins every other day.
Outside is a kids blow up swimming pool. he is outside for a few hours everyday. He is watched closely when outdoors, He loves it outside always roaming around, basking, eating, hunting, hiding, playing with the cat (they're friends), looking at overhead airplanes. He is just so happy and active I wish he was like that indoors, he doesn't do much in his big enclosure. I've tried rearranging the setup a few times, but he just kinda sits in the same spot all day. Any ideas on things I could improve on for his indoor enclosure?
What a nice enclosure, both of them.
It may be the heat/light outside that he prefers. Sunlight is orders of magnitude brighter than most lamps we use and has a much more balanced UVA component (which is visible to reptiles) so it might just be nicer for him outside.
What type of UV (T5 or T8 are you using?) with your enclosure size you could try offering a hotter basking area with higher UV output to better simulate sunlight. Try taking readings of the temperature (ambient and surface) when he is happy outside and see if it lines up with what you have inside or if it's maybe a bit cooler.
Using 2 24" reptisun HO 10.0 t-8 bulbs. Good point about taking readings outside. But the weather is also different everyday, and he doesn't seem to care if it's on the hot or low end of temperature, he's just full of energy. Should I ditch the basking bulb in favor of a regular household bulb to brighten it up?
Here is Loki's home. It's only a 40 gallon, but I hope to upgrade it to a 75 gallon whenever I get the extra money to do so. His home is nice and simple at the moment, but I'm looking to spruce it up and maybe make him a custom basking platform for christmas I've seen many examples of wonderful custom made platforms on this website, so I have plenty of good inspiration when I go to make mine.

Don't fret too much about it..mine will use the caves sometimes...just whenever he feels like it..otherwise most days he will just go to sleep wherever he happens to be. Some are more adamant about hiding away at night than others. I've noticed the older they get the lazier they get
