Vitamin and calcium help

I read about the calcium and vitamin and i would like to get repcal and herptivite could anyone tell me which one? And i do want the calcium with d3 in it? Theres just so many i just want to make sure and know if i need the calciums with d3. Thanks!

What bulbs are you using?

If you are using a MVB you need without D3.

RepCal Multivitamin is in the pink/red looking label theres only one of those.

I haven't bought anything yet im picking up a tank tomarrow and everything tomarrow, i haven't gotten the lamp but i was gonna get the one recommended UVB?? In Alaska during winter we have 4 hours of daylight ...

what is MVB vurses UVB for reptiles? I tried to look up MVB lights in amazon i couldnt find anything...


im confused about what you said , sorry, but vitamins i only see the blue and white for the VITAMINS

and pink/red and white for calcium with D3

I'm curious about this also. My pet shop has both of these and so far I have only been using the pink one. Should both be used and rotated with feedings?

I got my beardie today at petco in alaska, the only vitamins available are Reptivite without d3 , the dude i met owned beardies and tarantulas and seemed very helpful, i just wanted to check how many times do i feed them a week or day with this stuff since it has some vitamin A in it. Thanks!

i use cacium with d3 because i have the repti sun 10.0 anyways this is my schedual cacium with d3 for the first 5 days and then multivitam the next day and then sunday i give them a day off and i only dust in the morning not every time i feed just the 1 time a day

I was asking though the reptivite that i have has CALCIUM IN IT do i still NEED to get a bottle of JUST CALCIUM powder? and does it NEED to include d3?? Im confused as to you stated you use Cal. with D3 when you have a UVB? Am i supposed to get d3 now EVEN WITH A UVB Light?? Im very confused with all the answers.

This is an example of what i have gotten from you based on what you said , in order for me to determine how mine should be fed . The only thing is that i was asking in reference to the vitamin i bought (REPTIVITE) so do i only feed the reptivite every saturday? and go buy some calcium with or without d3 and feed it daily?

MVB is mercury vapor bulb.. its the best bulb you could buy for your beardie.

This bulb is a very intense UVB bulb.. This letting the beardie naturally produce D3 as they would in the wild. While the 10.0 is a good bulb, It isnt as intense as the MVB.

That said.. Mercury Vapor Bulbs like the MegaRay require you give them Calcium without D3 since they will already be making that naturally so to speak. But with the regular 10.0 bulb you need to offer the D3 since they wont be making enough on there own.

PetSmart here carries the RepCal Multivitamin and the RepCal Calcium with D3.. if you dont need the D3 you usually have to order it.

ok well i scrounged up enough money and just went ahead and bought the two herpivite stuffs
