We went on vacation last month and took all of our dragon's enclosure gear to the vet and had to leave her for a week at $12 a day. After returning home, Dreganna wouldn't bask and wouldn't eat for a week. She then started finally eating again but not enthusiastically so I bought her superworms to try (since she's finally long enough to have them). I guess I should have been more cautious and given them to her sparingly but she was finally eating again so I was giving her 4 supers and 8 butterworms per day plus her normal salad (she's a year old now, so not eating as much protein as before). Three days in, she quit going poop. Then she kept straining to go but not pooping so I took all the advise from here and gave her applesauce with a few drops of olive oil and daily baths. She didn't go for four days, then had a bowel movement with a urate plug. I thought she was ok, but she wouldn't bask and refused to eat and no more poop, even with massaging her belly, daily baths, applesauce with oil, etc. So, I took her back to the Vet and he gave her an enema and prescribed a med for her saying the amount of time she hadn't gone had caused an infection of her intestines and it came out to $182.00! She doesn't have any parasites (he did a fecal float at the office). It was just relocation stress mostly that caused it. Wow, I love my little gal, but geeze. I feel like I can't leave her at all ever with out causing problems.... Anyone out there that's had anything similar happen? I'm just really feeling stressed and down about the experience... Eww. *sighs*

I haven't boarded mine. I give a friend my house key and she checks on her daily and sends me updates. Have had no issues, other than the Great Veggie Fling of 2009

I am so nervous about going on a vacation or going on a few days fishing trip because of my lil guys...

I hope your baby is doing much better now. I am sorry you had to pay so much... It's stressful for sure. On top of worrying about them, having the cost rack up is frustrating!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
