Very Worried

last week we got a shipment of crickets that happened to be to small, we have been feeding then the same amount and he seems to have gotten lethargic, he seems smaller and wrinkly. normaly he is full of energy and trying to run from us like its a game, but now he seems all likw, "meh whatever" im very worried about our beardie :[[

his temp is fine, and we have fed him more than uasual, he also dosnt seem very intersteed in eating many tho, he eats more of his veggies than the crickets this week, we have thought that it might be a bad batch of crickets, but we still dont understand whats going on with him :{

Could he be going through a shed? My beardie eats like crud before going through one, it slightly improves while she is actually shedding and then is fine after the shed. Since she is a baby we seem to do this every couple weeks. Frustrating!

Also if he is getting wrinkly that sounds like he might be a tad dehydrated- might want to increase his baths to daily for a few days too and see if that doesn't improve his feeling some. The bathing is good for shedding beardies too so it def won't hurt to do! Make sure it is 15-20 minutes for best hydration results.

he hasent sheaded in a couple weeks and his color keeps getting darker, but it dosnt explane why he is latargic

It can explain it. Many beardies simply do not feel good when shedding (a fact that can easily be checked all over the forum). My girl just lays around, doesn't want to eat and doesn't want to be held either. She will actually run from me if I try to hold her sometimes (which is literally about the only time I see her move much when she is going through a shed). She just wants to go lay down and be left alone.

I hope you figure out what is up. I have cats and dogs- I find them 'easier' sometimes to figure out what's bothering them. The whole beardie thing is so different. They don't whine or cuddle you when they feel icky usually. I hope it's something as simple as a shed.

Other things you can check are:

can he bored with his diet? maybe a try a new feeder?
shedding?
how old is his UVB light? if it's more than 6months old- it might be time for a new ReptiSun 10.0 strib bulb.
how are his tank temps? could the basking lamp be fading?
if he is on sand- could be be impacted?
how are his poops? still frequent? nicely formed- neither too hard or too wet?
how old is he? (if he is still really young they shed all the darn time)
what is he eating/being offered?
