Ookay so spikes gonna be with me 2 years.

but i bet hes like 3 years old already. cause i dont know how old he was when we bought him. they didnt told us.

also the point is he stopped growing.

In summer i give him natural sunlight eevry single day. I give him locusts dusted with calcium whenever he eats them. (hes been brumating for 2 days now)

He has a ReptiSun 10.0 TUBE bulb. will be replaced by a new one by the end of january.

he stopped growing like. somewhere last summer.

hes only 16'' (40centimetre)

He gets mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens and sometimes broccoli (he hates raw only eats boiled. 8I)

tho he HATES any kind of greens i offer him. he doesnt even touch them. what pretty much worries me

hes completely spoiled. he doesnt chase his worms. and he waits untill the locusts jump like 1 inch near his mouth.

I bathe him every Saturday and he only poops once a week.. into the bathtub. :I

am I doing something wrong? ; A ;

My Dragon Brodie was about 12 inches when I got him at about 2 years of age. He is now 16 3/4. He is about 3 now. He didn't have much if any uvb at his previous home. He does still grow a bit here and there.

A few tips: Make sure your UVB is mounted in the cage. I believe 8-12 inches (correct me if i'm wrong) from the basking spot. Also BE SURE there is not screen or glass or plastic cover in between the dragon and the light. BULB-Air-DRAGON. Any thing in between will filter out the UVB. Also the reptisun needs to be replaced every 6 months.

P.S. Brodie hates veggies too, but my other dragon Drake (raised with proper vitamin/cal care etc.) loves Veggies and supers. I dont know if its a lack of proper supplementation in the raising that make them hate veggies or what?!??

He was only a few days in the petshop with his sister only,

when i got him he grew from 7'' to 15'' and now he barely grew 1 inch.

His UVB spot (i cant mount the UVB into his tank so its on the top of the tank where space is so there is no glass) and under the UVB lamp there are branches so he can get around 10'' away when he lays flat on it.

yes i know that it has to be replaced its gonna be replaced on the end of january, cause its the sixth month already. 8I

plus in summer. he ALWAYS gets natural sunlight, he once had the signs of MBD with legs twitching, but they disapeard when i put him on natural sun and switched to reptisun.

I once used wire to run it through the screen of his viv lid to hang the light in the tank. That worked for me until we got a custom tank built.
When is the last time he was measured. and how long ago?
How old is he? If he's under a year he souldn't be brumating. You make take in a fecal sample to your local vet and have them test for parisites.
How are his temps? What are you measuring the temps with? Digital probe/sticky themometer/temp gun?

Oh AND they seem to grow MUCH slower when they are adults so if he's about a year to 18 months his growth will slow way down. compared to Babies who seem like they are constantly shedding.

Even with absolutely optimal care from hatching, some dragons just don't get that big. Lack of proper nutrition and UVB early in their life can stunt them permanently, and since they usually finish the majority of their growth between 1.5 and 2 years, your guy probably isn't going to get any bigger.

You could run a fecal to test for parasites, because they can inhibit proper growth and weight gain, but otherwise, I wouldn't expect him to get significantly longer.

I will take his fecals to the vet somewhere in march or if he poops somewhere and not into warm water. Also hes probably over 2ish years old

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
