VERY funny Phoenix Worm story !

OK so Sunday came, we had just had a great Saturday with his parents here ,and his mom just LOVED Kiku. Im sitting here on the pc and one of the kids comes in and showed me a PW and ask me if it was one of Kikus. I inquired about where he found it, he said in the hallway bathroom. I thought that was strange and told him to wash it and put it back into the container and went on with my self. a few min later , the other kid comes in and said he found one in his room. I got rather suspicious at that point and checked the container. Sure enough, they had escaped ! Or some of them did. I didnt put the lid back on and they were EVERYWHERE ! In the hallway, in the hall bathroom, in the kids room, in the laundry room .....there were ALOT in my bedroom which is where Kiku AND her worms are. LOL !So we went on a mad search for Phoenix Worms ! Mostly they were under things, but just spread everywhere! In the end we collected about 100 (I had a 500 count container ! ) The kids suggested we let Kiku out and hunt them down. LOL !We laughed the whole time we were looking! It was soo funny ! Those things can MOVE IT ! Course they had all night too. lol. We washed them and put them back in the container where they belong. Kiku was watching us like we were crazy ! ...the things we do for our dragons!

Needless to say, I make SURE I put the lid back on now!

....still not sure we got them all.....

If you had 500....does this mean there are 400 still on the loose? :shock:


At least you found humor in the situation and enjoyed some quality family time as well....searching for the little buggers! :lol:

LMAO @ Dawn ! No , only about 100 of them got out (I hope! ) Most of them were still in the container. Except the ones I had already fed her. The kids will NEVER let me live this down, Im always on to them about putting the top back on things and putting things away.
We had a blast looking for them. Kiku thought we done lost our mind. We did get her out and she thought all the attention was for her, she was all over. I wish I had recorded it. Kiku was actually jumping around like a dog or something. LOL !

I am actually having 500 PW's delivered here on thursday for my new little guy that's showing up tomorrow. I will be sure to make sure the lid is very secure. Then again... I do have 3 cats who would have a blast if they were to get out! :roll:
