UVB Strip Fixture Mount

I need to find someone, preferably who doesn't use a top or screen, with a glass tank, that has their uvb strip light fixture mounted or clipped to the top. The best idea I've agreed with so far is the industrial velcro which I'm still finding hard to work my head around but seeing as I've never held the fixture in my hands perhaps it is light enough for that to work.

I'm thinking something that utilizes the screw holes the wal-mart t8's come with(believing you are mounting it) and then attaching some form of clip or clamp to it.

I (will) have the UVB strip light mounted on the back of my beardie tank, but I made my own hood for my aquatic box turtle's tank. I used the Wal Mart $9, 24" inch cabinet strip light people suggest on here and the Command Velcro strips. I made the hood out of the cardboard box my bulb was sent in and stuck the light in. That was almost a month ago and that light isn't going anywhere.
As far as the higher quality strip lights you can buy at the hardware store, they are heavier. But according to the instructions on the back of the Command strips package, one Velcro strip can support 3 pounds of weight. So three or four should be plenty sturdy and safe.
But hey, do what you feel comfortable with!

heh, thanks for the feedback on the strips, I'll keep that in mind. I was actually starting to think it would be a reasonable solution.

If I can figure out this bracket thing, I might feel more comfortable with it just for my own piece of mind, but I'm sure they're both good methods.

I use heavy duty Velcro, you just need to make sure the kind you are buying is rated for the weight of your fixture + bulb.
