UVB Question- What to use?!

Ok, so I was at an NARBC reptile show and was told that a UVB 10.0 is too strong. The lady I was talking too said that the UVB could actually cause blindness at 10.0. I had always used a 10 but switched to a 5.0. What should I be using? I'm kinda confused.

If the uvb is a Reptiglo, then yes. The glo has unstable uvb/uva rays, and has caused many issues, including eye issues. However the ReptiSUN 10.0 Tube is Wonderful !

That's the last time I ever listen to people at reptile expos. I figured that being breeders, they knew what they were talking about. Thanks for the help!

In essence, she was correct, but only about the glo. You just have to filter the information to get to the heart of things is all

Are you using a Repti-Sun 5.0 or Repti-Glo 5.0? The Repti-Sun 10.0 is the best fluorescent tube.
