Hi, i think my beardie has worms as he really doesn't eat much anymore and is very unactive and is only 18 inches at nearly 2 years old and he hasnt grown since last year or when he came out of brumation in feburary i have said on many posts on here that he is not as active and doesn't eat much any more he won't touch any veggies and locusts and other foods nothing i know all the temps lights etc is fine as i have had many people in every post say yeah thats fine so least i know its not that :), i don't have a vet near me that works on reptiles unless i drive an hour and a half well 2 hours actualy, anyway so i cant get a fecal done for awhile till i have a day off work, as i work till late and they are closed by the time i get there and they aren't open weekends either great, so i was thinking of buying him some reptile wormer for him at a local pet store but i wasn't sure if giving it to him would harm him if he didn't have a parasite or worms or would it be safe? and least if he doesn't change i know its not worms good idea?? also how would i inject him with it?
Thanks

Don't inject. If a beardie needs hypodermic treatment, get a vet to do it.
Can you ask anyone else to run a sample in? A taxi driver will often be happy to courier if paid for the job.

Hi, i didn't inject it i just put some of it in his mouth and let him swallow it like normal, like people do with water from a syringe. I have tried but the taxi drives won't drive 2 hours just to give a sample in a vet plus i wouldn't know if they actually did it or say they did it's hard to trust people but i will try and book a day off work and get him in for a check up asap bit other than that i can't do a lot. There used to be a vet when i got him near me but they closed down not too long ago and now i really need them typical.
Thanks for your reply

Which did you get?
Remember to give extra baths - most wormers dehydrate.
You might want to pick up a gut flora restorative too - I use Avipro, but if you're in the US, you guys get some great ones including Acidophiliz+. It'll help recover the upset tummy that's inevitable from the meds.

Reptaid's nice stuff - I always keep a bottle in my first aid kit. I still suggest seeing a vet - it could be a bacterial infection of some form.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
