Using insect killer on bearded dragons greens safe?

I have a few collard plants that I grew for my beardies, what I’d like to ask is, could the insect killer I used on it be harmful to them? It’s a dust called “sevin5 ready to use dust” or something like that, I’ve only used it about 3 times and last I used it was about a week ago. If I wash then throughly are they safe for them to eat?

No, I would def. not use those. Sevin is terribly toxic so don't chance it. Just curious though, are there that many garden pests that you really feel the need to use it ? I think if you have a bug problem you can use vinegar + soapy water to spray on the plants. Google natural pest control for garden to see what you can use that can just be rinsed off + not be so hazardous.

Ok thanks, and the only bugs I get on them are these small green worms on the back of the leaf, no idea what they’re called, but they eat holes throughout the leafs pretty quickly

I know that insects can be a real nuisance. If the greens don't get damaged too badly by the bugs you might just opt to let them grow naturally with the little holes in them.

Good for you that you have a garden for your beardies though.

.... if they are cabbage butterfly catepillas , they are fine to feed as treats to the beardie.

Even I would suggest not to use it. It can be harmful. Bugs feed on plants and infest them and these bugs does not easily get off the plants. One should try consulting a professional for their help. Professionals have experience on what can be harmful and what not. One can look for exterminators like Exterminator Fairfield CT, Exterminator Ridgefield CT, Exterminator Greenwich CT or can search for exterminators near by them in their area. If they do not want to consult professionals one can search for pesticides or sprays that can help them get rid off it.

I would be doubtful of using Carbaryl (i.e. Sevin) on anything given that it is banned in several, highly developed countries such as the U.K. and Germany. It is suspected to be a carcinogen and to even bind with natural hormones found in your body.
