Using exoterra heated cord under tiles

Hi I'm currently building a new Viv and I'm using tiles on the bottom question is I have seen this heater cord at the pet shops made by exoterra I was wondering are these safe at all and can you use them in a wood Viv under tiles

Not sure about them, but seeing as Heat Pad's are Not to be used, I would assume the same goes for the Heat Cord.

Safe? Yes -- IF you regulate it with a thermostat or power dimmer.
Just like UTH's the heat cord can get way too hot if it's unregulated.

Needed? Nope. Not for beardies. The basking lamps are sufficient 99% of the time.
