URGENT..

10 times today my beardie has gone into spasm, his head slowly tilts back, then his legs lift up his head leans right back his beard puffs and he seems to have some sort of fit and falls over?????

I've been googling like mad and I really dont know what to do, i've heard this can be a result of calcium deficiency etc but he lives off calci worms and crickets, he's under a reptisun 10.0 tube thats 3months old so I dont see how it can be..

I went to youtube and googled bearedd dragon seizure and found a condition called atadenovirus???? I looked it up nd it seems to describe him perfectly, underweight (no matter how much I feed him he cant seem to plump up) hides constantly etc..

I really dont know what to do here..

Hi Jelli, I'm sorry about your baby . How big is he ? Just a hatchling ? Yes, some viruses can cause seizures, so can overheating. It can also be a sign that he ate a cricket that was too large. How big are the crickets , be specific ? You have to be positive that the insects you feed him are no longer than the space between his eyes or they can cause pressure on the spine when he becomes impacted. Is he pooing ? I hope your baby can be helped.

This article seems to be a really good one about the condition. He needs to see a vet and get some blood taken, then you can work out a treatment plan if it comes back positive.
