My beardie King Kong has just done a funny looking stool, i have read up on it and from what I've read it isn't supposed to look like this. He is still very active, regularly shedding, i give him salad every other day and he poos often (especially on my bed when i get him out)

Age: 3 months and 8 days
Tank temp: 35 degrees celsius basking end and cool end 27.
I calcium dust him every other day
leave a bowl of water in every day (only a milk bottle cap) and then use a pippet once a week to make sure he's getting water ( he is)

I also find the poo quite watery but have read that this isn't a problem it just means they are well hydrated.

Im worried and desperate for answers, please help, Thanks!

Hi there, can you post a pic of the next one ? I suppose this one was cleaned up already. Beardies can have variations in the poo at times, it's not always a health problem. It sounds like he's very healthy so I wouldn't worry unless he does it all the time and/or becomes sluggish or refuses to eat.

It always helps to do a rundown of your tank, including lighting, temps., etc.

This looks normal to me, if not a bit dehydrated, but nothing to be really concerned about...you said you feed him salad every other day, but do you feed him a lot of live, gut-loaded staple feeder insects every day? At his age up until he's at least a year old, he needs lots and lots of live, gut-loaded feeder insects every single day, at least twice a day. From hatching to a year, year and a half old they are doing 90%+ of their growing and developing, and they need at least 2 live insect feeding sessions every single day, 3 live insect feeding sessions every single day is better, each session lasting 10-15 minutes, where they are allowed to eat as many live insects as they want to in that time period. Most bearded dragons under a year or so old won't even touch greens or veggies, so if you have a dragon that is 3 months old that does eat "salad" you need to simply consider that a bonus and not a real part of his daily diet, as without tons of live insect protein every day he will not grow and develop properly, and he will develop nutritional deficiencies and the diseases that they cause. You're much better to simply "gut-load" his live insects with the healthy greens and veggies and then feed the gut-loaded insects to your beardie, that way he gets the live protein he needs along with the extra hydration from the greens that are inside the live insects.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
