Update - Perry is gone

Hello everyone,
I am sad to say, that after all his struggles, we had to put Perry to sleep. He was such a good little boy with such a fight for life, it was a really hard decision. The break in his jaw was not healing properly and he developed a weird eye problem that ballooned into a bad infection. I took him back to the vet and we decided that it was best to let him rest. He is no longer suffering or in pain, but I will miss him.

On the lighter note, this weekend I brought home a new little beardie girl; Her name is Luna. She is beautiful, healthy and strong she has all ready shown her very assertive personality! I think she is going to be a wonderful addition to our home. Pics to come

I am so sorry to hear about Perry.I know you did everything you could for him as I followed your other threads about him.I think he is resting peacefully now and although it was probably one of the most difficult decisions you have ever made it was the right one.I look forward to seeing pics of you new little one.

Thanks everyone for your sympathetic thoughts. Yes, It was very difficult, we all cried. We had a little burial for him yesterday. It's so sad to know he's gone.

Luna is doing fantastic! She has such a great spirit. She is eating like a pig, and very active. She adjusted to her new home very quickly and seems to be quite content here with us

I, too, had been following Perry's thread. I'm so sorry. I personally know how difficult and heartbreaking it is to put a pet to sleep. I had to put Cinnamon dragon to sleep in November and it broke my heart. I'm glad you have your new baby. It will help you to heal.

I'm sad to hear that. i know that had to have been a very hard decision. i've come to learn that my animals are more than pets, they are friends. loss hurts, but i'm really glad to hear of your adoption. say hi to luna, have fun with her.
