I had wrote a post a few days ago changing what I hand fed my sick beardy to give more nutrients to her.. below original post..
:study: "I been hand feeding my baby dragon for a few months now.. She had gotten sick because she was engulfed with the disease Cuccidia she has been treated for this through out the months and all.. It has been a long time... I been feeding her with a syringe of baby food and she liked it so so.. I went to Petco and purchased a can of small crickets and I looked at the ingredients then I went and looked at the ingredients in kitten food so I figured she would get more nutrients then she would the baby food, and it had the same ingredients so I purchased a couple of cans of the meat kitten food and a bigger feeder syringe so the crickets would pass through..
I went home crushed the crickets added them with the kitten food and added a little sweet potatoes of baby food. And started feeding her, and she responded more and ate more of it.. With the baby food she wasn't responded much and when she poo'd it looked like baby food. So I figure this would be better for her and her digestive system. Since she can get more vitamins, and solid foods like the crickets just don't let em over eat lol.. Like I said this had the same crude protein, crude ash etc than a cricket would have or bearded dragon food have and I truly believe it is way better than just baby food.. And I also believe they will have a faster recovery rate with this food.. Just thought I would share this with everyone else.. So you can try it also.. Like I said New Discovery...." :study:

Anyway I went to check on her this morning and her poo is nice and formed like it should be and it is not runny and not looking like baby food. Then she had her eyes open and when I went to feed her with a syringe and having to put the food in her mouth my self.. She responded more with licking her lips, looking at me, her color looks better, and she was a lil more feisty than she has been in months.. So she seems to be feeling a lil better. I know she has a long way to go to get back to her usual self but she is responding more that I have seen since she has been sick.. so hopefully she will still progress and grow and become a beautiful dragon .. so if you have to hand feed your baby (when I say hand feed not seeing if she will eat from hand; I mean using a syringe and feeding her some might call it force feeding but if it takes that to keep your baby alive and get healthy again then that is what it takes).. Sorry lol.. But I really believe that the mixed i used with crickets, kitten meat food pureed, and baby food.. Then I dilute pedialite and give that to her so she won't dehydrate.. I tried plain water but she seemed to look better when she had pedialite.. But dilute cause pedialite has sugars in it, and it is not good on the liver so dilute generously... Like I said I been hand feeding her for a few months now and this has been the most responsive she has been since.. And I started this 3 days ago.. So try it... :mrgreen:
