If not, no biggie, life has been pretty busy which is why I haven't been on here as often as I wished. However I did want to provide an update regarding the health and progress of Steve McQueen.
I was a newb when I first posted here and I found many many many answers to my questions. I believe those answers went a long way towards health of my beardie today.
At Purchase:
Enclosure: 20 gallon aquarium
Age: 42 days (or 6 weeks or 1.5 months)
Weight: 12 grams
Full Length: 6 inches
Today:
Enclosure: 90 gallon aquarium (48"x18"x24")
Lighting: 1 x 100watt halogen + 1 x 100watt MegaRay UVB + 1 x 30watt fluorescent tube.
Age: 232 days (or 33 weeks or 7.5 months)
Weight: 410 grams (just shy 1 lb)
Full Length: 17 inches (nose to tip of tail)
Tail Length: 8 inches (from vent to tip of tail)
Total # of Sheddings: 9
Diet: A mix of Crickets & Collard Greens daily with Silkworms about once a month. Steve currently consumes between 30-50 1 inch crickets a day (typically up to 1,500 a month) and about 1 lb of Collard Greens a month. His diet continues to be dusted with calcium 'every other day' and dusted with multi-vitamins weekly.
