Uneven Shed?

Hi! So Kevin went through his 1st shed with us about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago. I've noticed past couple of days his feet looked a little strange but just assumed it was the way he was positioned & lights. Well, this morning it looks like he is wearing gloves! Like his arms, legs, tail & top of head looks like they came from another dragon! Frankenbeardie!

I've seen they can shed different parts at different times but is it usually so spread out? I assumed it was finished within days, not weeks. I do know his shed was only his body so all this makes somewhat sense but I guess I just need reassurance! I don't want it to be something crazy & him suffer cause I ASSUMED, ya know...

I'm not sure how old he is (Petco) but he is 9in, 25g & I've had him for 3 weeks. Other than his little gloves & being extremely lazy, basking all day when he's in his tank, he seems to be perfectly healthy. Any advice is much appreciated!

Yes, when it comes to bearded dragons and shedding, just about anything goes. They can shed large or small areas and it can take a few days or a few weeks.

Your little guys looks like he's doing just fine. :D

Ugh, thank you! I swear 90% of my time is spent worrying about him. 10% is just marveling at him. 100% Kevin all the time! I have even had weird dreams about him getting shed in his eyes or my cats getting to him ?? I'm also 8months pregnant so my dreams are crazy anyway. He is wearing me out lol!

My dragon is 3 1/2 years old and it takes her a month+ to complete a shed. I know......she's weird, lol!

He's also changed a bit this morning. He eats A LOT of crix normally, about 25/day, plus little nibbles of his "Kevin Salad". This morning he only ate 5 crix & ignored his salad. Which is not what the norm has been at all.

He usually doesn't mind me messing with him, doesn't love it either but tolerates it. This morning, I was hand feeding him his crix & after that 5th one, he actually started turning away & walking away from me when I offered the next. Ok, fine. But when I just went to try to hold him a bit a few mins ago, he obviously did not want to be bothered! I'm leaving him be but I miss my buddy! We always hang out around this time of day!

I'm assuming all this is shed symptoms as well... He's so dang grumpy tho! ???

Shedding can make them grumpy and/or make them lose their appetite, but at least it doesn't last forever.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
