Underwent Initiation....

So I was playing final fantasy on my ps4 when I noticed Nanaki doing some glass surfing on his Viv door.

So, I pulled him out and put him on my knee; was about to grab my controller when he tensed...seconds later came the urinate...he then locks and loads. Gaaaaaaaah!

Thankfully I managed to remove me jeans without getting anything on my carpet! I just can't fathom what possessed him to think I was his potty today! :lol:

Only thing I can think of was he finished a major shed and was taking it out on me.

At least he knows enough to want out of his tank when it's time to go. I guess next time he glass dances put him on some linoleum floor or another area that is easy to clean up after. Easier on both of you that way.

I might try that with a spare, shallow bin I have to see if that works.

I wish he was big enough to take outside! Teach him how to go bathroom in the grass. XD

The only problem with teaching him to use the grass is if you're like me, I only have grass for 4 -5 months of the year.

I might have to get a little grass pad she can poop on as Scaley seems to think grass=bathroom.

Where can I buy some of that? 0.0 Even if he doesn't use it, I may still get it to green up his viv a bit.

I was going to get a little box, some soil and grass seed and make my own.

I may have to look into that then. Would it be safe if Nanaki should try to nibble on it?

I haven't had a problem with Scaley, although she is more interested in pooping on it than eating it. Just check what kind of seed you're going to grow and cross reference in the forum.

I reached out to my brother to see if he could provide some insight on dragon nutrition (he's in Sydney working on his PHD in biology specialising in nutrition) but he is in Auckland for some conference. I'll let you know if anything comes of that.

I'm still looking for dandelions for Nanaki to try but no one in the area seems to sell them.

I get them from the health food store, or when I'm out camping and she's at home I'll pick some and bring them back. I wouldn't do that at any of my public parks though as there may be pesticides.
