ummm eggs and ham.

so i made scrambled eggs and ham for my 2 and 4 year old children thismorning. at the same time i had Skippy roaming around exploreing the dinning room. served my kids walked into kitchen to get my plate and Skippys salad come back in and sweet as can be Lillith my 2yr old is sitting on the floor with her plate and Skippy while he is chowing down on her eggs!!!! after that his salad did not intrest him.

I have not personally fed eggs to my beardies but I have heard of people doing so. Hardboiled eggs are on the list at http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html but says to feed rarely.
I don't think scambled would be good for them if you used any oil or butter to scramble them in.

I'm sure that was a very cute sight to see. :wink:

thankfuly i do not use any oils or butters when i cooked them so i think we are in the clear as long as he dosent have some kind of reaction to the ham??

Eggs can be fed just for a variety but not to often. Ham can be bad though. Most ham today is treated with salts and other chemicals which I can imagine not to be to good for a bearded dragon. Worse then the eggs at least.

It's not likely to physically hurt him just this one time. Like the other posters have said, the ham is not good, and the eggs aren't that bad. I think that your kids would perfectly understand if you explained to them not to do that again, but wow that must have been so cute!

yeah the eggs are not an issue as long as they dont have grease all over them... i feed hard boiled eggs every once and a while. some of my dragons like em and some dont want anything to do with them. not to sure about the ham but i dought he got too much in his system. im sure he will be fine! lol! that sounds like somethin my niece would do with her big beardie named "Wex"
