Ultrasound Works!!!!!

To anyone that may fear impaction, dystocia (egg binding), most abdominal issues, etc. my vet. and I felt it's much less stress than an x-ray, it's in "real time", but accompanied w/ an x-ray greatly increases your chances of finding problems.
This may be old news to some of you but to me and hopefully others, it will aid in problem solving health issues. (not the $$ issues though)

Did your female have egg binding problems that you found with x-rays? Yes, they are extremely valuable in assessing & finding problems.

No, but I did notice she had some gas (gas pockets in lower abdominal region)! lol I took Rose to my vet b/c this was her 1st clutch and out of 12 only 4 were neither trampled or punctured, etc. The vet had never used ultrasound on lizards before and we asked ourselves "why not?"
She was acting normal for a day then lethargic the next after she laid, for a couple days. I didn't want to risk her health on my educated guesses, so I took her in.
With all the stress that goes with the 1st clutch, owner and dragon, I hadn't realized that a big cold front moved in and I think the barometric pressure played a little part as well. But who can say for sure.
