I was not planning on getting another beardie, but while scrolling through craigslist I found a little beardie who looked like he wanted to be my buddy  His description read:

"Nice lizard, never bites. He is 2.5 years old. I feed him live goldfish, three times a week. He also gets a spring greens mix. Will come with tank but not lights." :banghead:

...Goldfish? Whatever... So anyways, I already had an extra set of heat bulbs and a UVB, so I said what the heck! He looks pretty skinny, but not as bad as I expected. He also was housed on woodchips, but he pooped in the bath for me, so no impaction!! He has the classic "MBD jaw", but he's mobile. He ate some crickets, but he seems to have a hard time chewing and an even harder time catching them. He also ate some salad!! For a name.. I am thinking "Humphrey"?

Here are some pics of the guy! I actually ended up calling him Wizard. Humphrey just doesn't fit his personality!

This is the photo from the craigslist ad.

Here he is today!

This is his foot from the day I got him... He was so dirty. I gave him a good scrubdown with a wash cloth in the bath and he is still pretty dirty! He was housed on woodchips. Repticarpet now!

So, he is a little skinny and has a funky jaw, but he is very mobile! No issues there. He is also a little unfriendly towards people, but who could blame him! I'm sure he'll be sweet as a peach once he's a little healthier :D

Today I managed to get Wizard a little more comfy with baths. He sat and soaked for a good 15-20 mins and I tried to get some of the gunk off of him. He is so dirty. He was housed on wood chips and the reddish dust is stuck in his scales. His poor tummy and bottom of his feet also had poo all over them, yuck. I tried to scrub them off the night he came home but he was just too stressed. After his bath I was able to take a look at his femoral pores and they were pretty clogged up, so I will bathe him daily until they clear up a little.

Once he is settled in you should get him checked for parasites. Feeder goldfish are some of the most unhealthiest things to feed any animal because they are poorly cared for and filled with parasites.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
