type of wood ok to use in tank?

is there any type of tree branches i should NOT use in his tank?? i know to sanitize and heat them till dry etc., just not sure if there are any that may make him ill or be poisonous to him. don't wanna go on a branch hunt until i know what i can / can't use. lot of oak and pine here.....those ok?? thanks :)

Pine and cedar are toxic to reptiles, so stay away from those! And IMO it's better to find one that the bark has peeled off of, so they won't eat bark chips that fall off. Remember to sanitize it before you put it in his viv too. I soak my wood in a 1 part bleach/10 parts water mix for 30 minutes, and soak it in plain water for a couple hours afterwards. Make sure it's totally dry before you give it to your beardie.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
