Two beardies

So my wife was given the gracious gift of a bearded dragon which is about 3 months old and then her father decided to buy her a second beardie this one is about 1-2 months old problem is we have no clue what gender they. Are we have a much larger tank coming which I plan to put a separator in so they both have around a 60 gallon as the newer tank is going to be 120 gallons in total I wanted advice on how to stop the bigger one from chasing the smaller one till Friday

This is what happens when two dragons meet. Separate them ASAP this mix spells disaster for one or both dragons. Although some can stay together for a while, sometimes it happens quickly.....this is one of those times.
These creatures are super territorial and, will defend their realm to the death. They should never know that the other exists. Even if you put up a separation wall, they still know that the other one is there. This cause extreme stress and, can lead to life threatening illnesses. I guess what I am saying is, you are going to need two different setups out of view of each other.

whilst I get the point of that would another solution be to get a darker coloured wall as these were an unexpected gift for my wife and the landlord as basically said we can only keep one enclosure hence why a large 120 gallon terrerium with a dark screen would be our only viable solution

Preventing them from seeing each other will help minimize the stress and chance of catastrophe.

120 gallon is inadequate for two full grown dragons. BD’s are mostly ground dwellers and like to roam and explore their turf. A cool side and hot side is also critical to their ability to thermalregulate body temps. That would be very challenging with only 30inches of length dedicated to each reptile.

If possible, consider talking to landlord about a stackable plastic unit. It will take up the same footprint as the 120 minus being a little taller. That will solve most issues of mortal combat/horny lizard syndrome and give your little friends more “me space.” That means happier lizards, happier owners, and happy landlord who probably doesn’t want to hear another word about it regardless. :lol:

You'll have to have a very solid divider in between them, but for now just set one up in a large plastic storage tote with appropriate lights rigged overhead.

4 feet long 2 feet wide

That will only leave 2 feet for each dragon, it will be too small as they grow.
