Hi, I haven't been on here in a while but I'm pretty concerned about my dragon..

Okay, Tango is about 4. He was doing really well up until about 2 years ago. He stopped eating live food. Would not eat anything other than veggies. So, I just made sure I fed him regular. Well, up until about 3 months ago he stopped being active and would only come out to eat about once a week. I'd still wake him to give him a bath and sometimes would let him just sleep wrapped in a towl. I thought it was brumation but wasn't sure. He hasn't had a bowl movement in about a week but I thoguht that was because he hasnt ate. Our only herp vet around is absolutly HORRIBLE. I REALLY don't want to take him there. The last time I took my other beardie there it resulted in death.

So, today I was determined to get him to eat so I went to petco and got some super worms and decided to try to get him to eat live again. I brought him home and as soon as I put one down he started eating and ate about 25. I didn't know if I should go on and feed him whatever he would eat or what. After I fed him he started breathing really hard and puffing air out of his month. Then he went to bask and I noticed his left back leg was twitching. I'm super worried I'm ordering another ReptiSun light tonight since his is about 6 months old and I just changed out his basking light. Any suggestions on what this might be. Do you think it's MBD and if so what can I do to help?

Hello,

Did you get the new Reptisun 10 ordered & was it a tube bulb correct? How close to him do you have the light & is any plastic or screen separating him & the light?
How large were the superworms? Since he ate 25 that may have been too many in one sitting for him & slightly impacted him. Has he gone to the bathroom since he ate the superworms? He is an adult so he should be able to digest them, but that might have been too many at one time.
How often do you give calcium for him?
What are the basking temperatures in the tank? They need to be in a range of 95-110 with a cooler end of around 78-82.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
